Summer Fashion Vs. Vaginal Health

Who run the world? Vaginas. They are truly an incredible force of nature. They’re self-cleaning. They can accommodate a whole human baby safely passing through it. They can accommodate a penis just passing by to say hello. All the while staying strong and powerful and dare I say, very cute. But vagina’s are extremely fickle. One wrong move and it will seek revenge on you and all those you love. UTI’s and yeast infections are just a few of the ways that vaginas retaliate against improper maintenance. Sticky, off-colored discharge accompanied by swelling, itchiness, and discomfort… nobody has time for that. Especially not during the summer. Unfortunately, summertime is prime UTI and yeast infection season. Why? Mostly because of the clothes we wear. Sure, most of these fashion trends are a must and we don’t expect you to completely avoid them, but it’s important to keep this info in mind… for your vagina’s sake.

If you dare wear short shorts…
They may make your legs look 9 ft. long but your vajeen is having trouble breathing. Give it some air and rock a mini skirt. Those gams will still look hot as hell and your vagina will be able to take in the fresh breeze.

Itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow discharge causing bikini...
It’s summer, baby! Of course, we’re going swimming. Of course, after that dip in the pool, we’re going to lay around in a swimsuit and get a little crispy. Of course, we’re going to create a breeding ground for bacteria in those boy short bottoms we got from ModCloth. Swimsuits are made from nylon which is a notoriously unbreathable fabric, so don’t wear them for too long. That much moisture around your bits is begging for a yeast infection. Make it a point to change out of your wet swimsuit as soon as possible. Or just go skinny dipping.

Bodysuits
Bodysuits are so on trend right now. What they are able to do for every body type is truly magic. But I’m sure everyone with a vagina who has ever donned one can agree that they wreak havoc on your front parts. Bodysuits hold everything in place so tightly, including your vajaja, limiting the air flow and creating a less than ideal environment for a healthy front butt. If you wear bodysuits often, try rocking it with a breathable skirt or loose pants so you aren’t layering on the tightness. Or... be Beyonce.

Gym Clothes
Tight bottoms are standard for work out gear because it allows you to move freely and safely. Super ideal for toning that rump. Super NOT ideal for keeping your vagina pH balanced. After a hard workout, your hot sweat down under is quick to accumulate bacteria. To avoid unwanted infections, immediately change out of your workout clothes so your lalaland isn’t stewing in a sweat swamp.

That thong, th-thong, thong, thong…
Ugh. The granddaddy of all undergarments. The infamous and timeless perpetual wedgie providing a panty line free utopia for all... because literally up your ass. Which means that there is most likely fecal matter all over it. I’m sure we all know by now, getting poop in or around the vagina is a fate worse than death. I wouldn’t wish a UTI on my worse enemy.

So how does one avoid an infection without sacrificing their thong? Simple. Clean your butt better with TUSHY bidet. TUSHY bidet will rid your rump of all the residue left behind by toilet paper. No more skid marks or dingles creeping their way toward your two lip garden. No more UTIs caused by a less than ideal habitat in your undies. The TUSHY bidet is a great preventative measure for vaginal infections.

Stay cute this summer while also staying clean and healthy.
