Sustainable, soft and wrapped in artistic designs

Good stuff. I always buy sustainable TP with some hesitation, because we’ve tried some uncomfortable TP over the years (friends asked us once if we had switched to “prison toilet paper”). But Tushy’s TP is a delightful surprise. It’s soft and thick, but with none of the TP dust and lint that come with the big brands like Charmin. I admit I wish it was white and not cream…I’m a weirdo and just like everything white in the bathroom. But it’s worth it for the smaller impact on the planet. No plastic, no lint. We recommend trying it. The artful wrapping paper around each roll is an extra cherry on top. 🍒

Frequently asked questions

Bamboo products are not only soft like a baby panda's bottom and absorbent for optimal butt patting, but(t) it is also a sustainable resource. Bamboo absorbs 35% more CO₂ per hectare than equivalent plants and can grow up to 39 inches in just one day. That means that bamboo is ultrareplenishable in addition to helping reduce deforestation (15% of deforestation is due to toilet paper production).

One roll of our Bamboo TP takes 0.59 gallons of water. One roll of conventional TP takes 37 gallons of water! #math

Ray who? There’s no Rayon in our TP. The raw material is 100% bamboo.

We practice biological pulping, meaning; we don't use chlorine at all during the process. No bleach. All natural.

Yes! Not only are trees spared from being used to wipe our cracks, but bamboo toilet paper manufacturing releases 30% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than its hardwood counterpart.

In addition to its environmental benefits, bamboo toilet paper is also a strong but soft material, making it a luxurious choice that is still durable enough to do its job. Naturally hypoallergenic, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial, bamboo toilet paper is an exceptional choice for sensitive skin.

You know it! Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on Earth! The bamboo we use grows up to 39 inches in a single day making it a much more sustainable resource than virgin wood.

Sure is! Bamboo is 100% biodegradable. Septic professionals are also keen on bamboo toilet paper because it breaks down faster than both virgin hardwood and recycled toilet paper. Bamboo toilet paper flushed into your septic’s primary treatment system will take up less space and put a lighter strain on the bacteria working to break down the solids. Bamboo toilet paper is also free of any harsh chemicals, bleaching or de-inking process that may interfere with the septic system’s bacterial environment.
