Questions? We've Got Answers
Bamboo products are not only soft like a baby panda's bottom and absorbent for optimal butt patting, but(t) it is also a sustainable resource. Bamboo absorbs 35% more CO₂ per hectare than equivalent plants and is the fastest growing plant on earth growing up to 39 inches in just one day making it a much more sustainable resource than virgin wood. That means that bamboo is ultrareplenishable in addition to helping reduce deforestation (15% of deforestation is due to toilet paper production).
One roll of our Bamboo TP takes just 0.59 gallons of water to make. While one roll of conventional TP takes 37 gallons of water! Not only are trees and water spared from being used to wipe our cracks, but bamboo toilet paper manufacturing releases 30% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than its hardwood counterpart.
The raw material is 100% bamboo.
It depends on the color. Our natural bamboo toilet paper uses biological pulping with zero chlorine, so there’s no bleaching process at all. Our white bamboo toilet paper goes through an Elemental Chlorine-Free (ECF) process to get that brighter look. Either way, you’re getting 100% bamboo, FSC certified, biodegradable, and plastic-free toilet paper.
Our natural colored bamboo toilet paper is unbleached, so there's no bleaching process involved at all. The white version goes through an Elemental Chlorine-Free (ECF) bleaching process, which whitens the paper without using chlorine gas. Both versions are 100% bamboo, FSC certified, biodegradable, and plastic-free.
ECF stands for Elemental Chlorine-Free, the process we use to whiten our white bamboo toilet paper. It uses chlorine dioxide instead of chlorine gas, which cuts down on harmful byproducts compared to older bleaching methods. It’s not the same as TCF (Totally Chlorine-Free), but it’s a significantly cleaner process that still gets you bright, strong paper. Our natural bamboo toilet paper skips this step entirely since it’s unbleached.
Yes. Septic professionals tend to favor bamboo toilet paper because it breaks down faster than virgin hardwood or recycled paper, putting less strain on the bacteria doing the work in your tank. It's 100% biodegradable, unbleached, and free of the harsh chemicals or bleaching agents that can throw off a septic system's bacterial balance. Flush away.
In addition to its environmental benefits, bamboo toilet paper is also a strong but soft material, making it a luxurious choice that is still durable enough to do its job. Naturally hypoallergenic, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial, bamboo toilet paper is an exceptional choice for sensitive skin.
