First off, the wrapping around each roll is beautiful, which is especially nice for having in guest bathrooms. Hopefully that's not something that adds to the cost!
As far as the actual toilet paper, I found that it was softer than a generic brand that you might find at a mid rate hotel, but not as soft as the previous wood-based toilet paper we were using. But (or should I say "butt"?), it's soft enough to get the job done.
One sort of TMI piece of info is that the color of the toilet paper is sort of a tan color, and it can camouflage with any hints of poop. So, if your bidet job didn't quite do everything and you need more bideting, you may not really find that out as easily.
Overall, the sustainability aspect of the toilet paper is enough to convince me to keep with this toilet paper over wood-based toilet paper and I will gladly buy more when I run out.
