World Oceans Day

In 2002, the United Nations declared June 8th, World Oceans Day in an effort to bring awareness to how precious our waters are. It is easy to take for granted how incredible and wondrous and full of life our oceans are. But if you think about it, Earth is the only planet in our solar system that contains water (sorry Mars, show me the receipts), and it is mind blowing. Not only that, but there are parts of the ocean that people have yet to see. Our oceans are like the outer space of water, ya know? The wet frontier, if you will.

Like... what even is this guy?

Even in all of its glory and majesty, the ocean faces more threats than ever. The Trump administration has proposed new offshore drilling in more than 90 percent of U.S. waters while targeting marine protections for potential repeal. Every year, 8 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean harming wildlife. One of the leading factors to plastic pollution is the use of wet wipes. In 2015, volunteers found nearly 4,000 wet wipes around the UK coastline. Since then, they’ve set initiatives in place the reduce the UK’s plastic use, replacing plastic items with greener, more eco-friendly options.

These glow in the dark plankton don't want to munch on your poopy wet wipes.

The TUSHY bidet is the perfect alternative to using wet wipes. This World Oceans Day, take the plunge and invest in a TUSHY. When you do, you will also be investing in the future of our planet.
