National Toilet Paper Day: Is That a Thing?!
23 Aug, 2017
So, it's National Toilet Paper Day. A day to celebrate the antiquated and unhygienic practice of cleaning our bottoms with pieces of meager, flimsy, toxic sheets of paper. Woooo.
Now that THAT’s over, here's why TUSHY isn't celebrating. Fifteen million trees are cut down each and every year just to make toilet paper for Americans, alone. It takes 37 gallons of water to make a single roll of that dry, bleached paper, wasting an immense amount of the precious H2O every year. Not to mention, friction from that toilet paper contributes to and exacerbates the 23 million annual cases of hemorrhoids, UTI's, and anal fissures.
Rather than spending any more time acknowledging this expensive, unsustainable and so yesteryear product, we want to celebrate your BUTT. Our butts deserve better! Our butts deserve to be clean! Our butts deserve that promotion! Our butts deserve global domination! Our butts deserve TUSHY!
That’s why TUSHY is revolutionizing the way Americans poop. If a madman started flinging poop, your first line of defense wouldn’t be toilet paper. It would be WATER!
At TUSHY, we pride ourselves on being advocates for sustainability, environmental conservation and giving back to communities affected by the global sanitation crisis. Every purchase of a Tushy provides a family with a one month access to clean community toilets built by Samagra, a company that provides life-improving, value-added services to the urban poor in rural India. Can toilet paper do that?
So sure, we can give toilet paper a nice pat on the back but let’s celebrate something that can’t be replaced. Your Booty.
