Best Poop-ture! 5 Must-Watch Toilet Scenes In Cinema History

23 Mar, 2021

It’s awards season, baby! From the online Golden Globes to the online Academy Awards, this is the time of year where we celebrate all things Hollywood.

But where is the special celebration for butts on film? TUSHY has founded an Ass-cademy of Arts and Butts to honor the best, stand-out toilet scenes in all of cinema history. Allow us to present the very best poop and toilet scenes to ever grace the silver screen.

Best Buddy Scene: Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle (2004)

This buddy stoner comedy starring Kal Penn and John Cho dropped one of the most iconic poop scenes on record. On their epic journey to find a White Castle, our two “dishy” leads get way-laid in an effort to score with two willing British babes. But before they can land the deal, the guys get stuck in a single bathroom stall between the 2 hot Brits, who happen to have IBS. When the girls’ taco sh*ts begin, they stink up the bathroom. Yes, the Battlesh*ts were peak potty humor, earning a much-deserved spot on this list.

Most Expensive: Bridesmaids (2011)

Bridesmaids follows the misadventures of a dysfunctional maid of honor Annie, played by Kristen Wiig, to her bestie bride (played by Maya Rudolph). When Annie makes the mistake of arranging lunch at a questionable spot before wedding dress shopping, the entire bridal gets butt-ripping food poisoning. Surrounded by dresses that cost more than rent, in the white and cream colored boutique, it gets gnarly fast. Melissa McCarthy screams “look away,” but we can’t. The damage is done, and it is pricey. An iconic poop scene.

Most Relatable: Dumb and Dumber (1994)

Dumb and Dumber followed two epicly stupid besties in noble pursuit of a beautiful, mysterious woman. When one of the best buds, Harry (played by Jeff Daniels), swings a date with the epic hottie, his bestie (Jim Carrey) slips him a diuretic out of jealousy. Harry gets the urge to purge once he’s arrived at his date’s home. He enjoys about 30 seconds of sweet relief on the john, which is interrupted when his date reveals that the (now sh*t full) toilet is broken. Cue the panic! We’ve all clogged a toilet, this one hits close to home, which is why it’s a must-see poop scene.

Best Worst Toilet: Trainspotting (1996)

A young Ewan McGregor plays Renton, a heroin addict, in this dark comedy from Danny Boyle. Trainspotting follows our unfortunate lead through the obsessive hunt for his next high. Apparently heroin makes you constipated. And when you come down, you need to hit the nearest available loo. In this case, Renton is right by Scotland’s worst toilet. It certainly earns the name, and a spot on our list.

Best Double Entendres: Austin Powers International Man of Mystery (1997)

Mike Myers’ Austin Powers films star the sexiest man from the 1960s recently reintroduced to the 1990s after 30 years in a cryogenic freezer. The spy comedies did quick work of setting up this uber silly premise, and it delivered so hard on the character that they ultimately made a trilogy.

Our must-see scene is from the first Austin Powers movie. While in a Vegas casino bathroom, Austin is strangled from behind by a henchman working for Austin’s mark, a man called Number 2. Austin grunts “Who does Number 2 work for?” And Tom Arnold is in the adjacent stall, delivering lines like “That sounds pretty nasty, how about a courtesy flush?”. No international mystery here, this one is a poop scene for the ages.

We’d Like to thank the Ass-cademy
